After many years of working as a sales manager in telecommunications, Julie Polito decided to change careers and become a certified real estate appraiser. She worked with CK Appraisals for two years to complete her apprenticeship and launched Desert Eagle Appraisals in 2007. Since that time, she has traveled all over the Valley of the Sun appraising property, continually honing her expertise and expanding her professional network. She completed additional training to appraise multiplex (up to four-plex) and high dollar value real estate ($1,000,000+). In 2013, she also completed requirements to become a licensed realtor.

As a certified appraiser, Polito has valued real estate for single-family homes, two- to four-family units, condos, short sales, bank-owned sales, bankruptcies, land valuations, loan originations, home equity loans, asset division, refinances, tax assessments, relocations and numerous other needs. In addition, she has testified in court as an expert on real estate valuations.

Polito credits the success for her small business to a strong work ethic and an unwavering commitment to integrity, ethics and trust. During the past 10 years, she has discovered several instances in which other appraisers significantly undervalued or overvalued property due both to pressure and ignorance. She maintains that her number one priority is getting the appraisal right every time “to safeguard the interests of my clients” and provide reliable information that will allow them to make informed decisions.

Polito graduated from Phoenix College in 1991. For many years, she was active on the board of the Arizona Lost Boys Center, which provided leadership and development for refugees from Kenya and Ethiopia who were assimilating into the United States. Today, Polito lives in Fountain Hills, Arizona, with her husband and dog. She is proud to be the mother of a United States Air Force serviceman.
